The Challenge
Electric vehicle adoption was growing rapidly, but finding and using charging stations remained complicated. Drivers faced fragmented apps, inconsistent payment systems, and unclear station availability.
The challenge was to create a unified experience that would make EV charging as intuitive as using a gas station, while supporting multiple charging networks and payment methods across different countries.
The Solution
I designed a streamlined mobile experience focused on three core user needs:
- •Find: Real-time map showing available charging stations with filters for connector types, charging speed, and price
- •Book: Reserve charging spots ahead of time to avoid waiting
- •Pay: Seamless in-app payment with automatic charging session management
The interface was designed to work efficiently even in stressful situations, with large touch targets, clear status indicators, and minimal steps to start charging.
